First Day of School

I decided to finally get back to blogging!!! The kids had their first day of school this week and it was very interesting. My little ladies man has developed a crush on his teacher, he has to wear daddys cologne and his hair must be in a mowhawk everyday. Really???? Although it is adorable to hear what he has to say, it is a bit concerning.

Soapie had her first day too. She did well considering she is a complete mommy's girl. I felt better knowing that the entire class of 18 month olds cried off and on all day, so she wasn't the only one. The hardest part is that she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in July and I have to go to the school at lunch everyday to give her a shot. The first day I ended up taking her home early, I couldn't stand leaving her screaming twice in one day. The second day I did leave her and she did great.

White Rock Marathon

Back in August I signed up with Team in Training to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society while training for the white rock marathon. I ended up completing the marathon this past sunday and raised over $1800. I wanted to thank everyone who donated to the cause and everyone who supported me. It was such an incredible experience and I hope to do it again sometime in the near future.

Thanksgiving! Yumm

The whole family headed to Kansas City for Thanksgiving. Louie's mom and her husband and also Louie's brother and his family are there. We had so much fun!! I love going to Kansas, because it is actually cold over Thanksgiving and we even saw some snow. Kathie made so much food. It was delicious!! We all ate more than we should have, but the award for consuming the most food goes to Sophie. I have never seen a baby eat as much as her, it was crazy. Hudson ate two bites of every meal, he was too busy playing with his cousin Michela. Sophie would not only eat everything on her plate, but his plate too. It was insane. Anyways...It was a great time and we loved seeing everyone! Here are some pics...

First Injury

Well it finally happened....Hudson had his first injury. Not a major one, but still an injury. Last friday he fell while trying to climb in the chair to play on the computer and had a nice big gash right under the lip. We spent four hours in the ER and came out with 3 stitches. He was such a trooper in the hospital and wasn't even that scared. He cried more getting the stitches out than having them put in.

Birthday party craziness!

Hudson had his third birthday party this past saturday! We went to pump it up jr and it was awesome. They do everything for you, which is really nice! There were about 15 kids and they all had a great time! The only problem was that one of the children (2or 3 years older) kept beating up on Hudson. Not just your typical boy wrestling thing, he was choking, biting, tackling Hudson and other children. At one point this kid went inside the bounce thing and two kids came out crying. The mother seemed to have either not cared about this at all or not noticed it. I told Hudson and the boy to keep their hands to themselves and the boy told me you keep your hands to yourself. Ohhh no he didn't! I even had several moms come up to me and ask who he was and why was he abusing all the much younger kids. Now, the mother is not someone I know too well, but she lives right next door. I didn't say anything to her, because I have this silly need to have everyone like me. Should I have said something? Would you have?

Growing up!

The day finally arrived, Hudson turned 3! I was excited about this not only because the terrible two's are coming to an end, but also because I was so tired of hearing everyday, 10 times a day, that Hudson wanted a big boy truck! We broke down and bought him the escalade, but what nobody tells you is that it comes in a box non-assembled. Are you kidding me??? I paid how much for this damn thing and it is just a bunch of plastic parts that aren't even put together!! I now understand why after hours of putting toys together my pissed off father would throw me the stickers and say go to town! Frustrating!! Other than having to wait a while to have the escalade put together Hudson had a great day. He is growing up so fast, it makes me so sad! The baby days are over for the little guy!

Photography session

We had the kids pictures taken again! I love the photographer we use. Hudson did really well cheesing it up for the camera, but Sophie had a hard time this session. She just wanted to crawl around and it was nap time so half of the session she cried. The pictures still turned out really well.
